just a little show to help the community
The admin staff at the local retirement home had asked if we could put a little show on before Xmas...just about a dozen cars is all they could fit in..
The residents loved it...here's mother in law Clare coming out to check out her sons Camaro..
Most were either wheelchair or walkers, so hard to get around the cars..
Clare having fun...not bad for a 95 year old!
Model 40s hanging around together....(safety in numbers..)..lol
nice fairland sport coupe..awesome 502 '65 Vette, and nice restored Mustang..
Get ready for it.........
it's Thelma and Louise all over again!.......Clare and Olive having fun...
Thanks to all that gave up a couple of hours for this..
The staff and management of Marebello, would like to thank you as well for taking the time for the show today..

Tonights pics courtesy of Chalie Falzon
Love when someone finds all these pics for me to blog..here's some that Charlie has found, and most are old, some newer, but just neat old photos all the same...
In case you're wondering...I haven't done too much on my coupe of late...had plenty of "December" distractions, with nearly every day accounted for thru to early January...

Now here's a great story for Bill Cowan and myself...
Here's one of those "Feel good" stories about early Fords, and about the 32 frame I just purchased from Bill...as you can see, he comes from a family of car lovers, especially early Fords...
Along with his dad, Bill and his brother collected plenty of early Fords in the early years, and restored a lot of them...this A roadster is still in Canberra.
Here's a nice 31 Roadster that now lives in Sydney...there was also an A tub that was a resto project for the family as well.
But now...the juicy bit.....Bill wanted a 32 roadster..(don't we all?)....and his dad managed to find three in various conditions, but the one I want to focus on is this one...found on a farm in Grafton, and the frame from it is the one I now have, thanks to Bill deciding to part with it.
Here's the day it came off the farm...hooked up to an A bar behind a pillarless 57 Chev, and flat towed all the way back to Grafton......what a cool sight to see, back in 1969.
This is what a love.....here is the receipt for the purchase!...wow!.....look at that price!...Bill kept a few parts off this ute to build his roadster, and I now have the remains in my shed....just need to find a few bits to piece it back together!
Coupla shots from Bill, as it had sat for for many years
Lukitit....stripped of all it's goodies for Bills other 32 roadster.
So, fast forward to the 2000s, and Bill had a frame constructed , then it was off to Warren Wilkie to get the bodywork in order.
Note the Brookville flat firewall now, as this is a Ford powered Ford...with a little Windsor engine and auto having been fitted.
Bodywork just about all done, now time for mechanicals.
lotsa spare wheels..
rough, but repairable floor section
really nice firewall
an assortment of Model A and 32 bits here
nice pair of fenders
the cut off back, as well as some engine splash trays and splash aprons
nice pair of original doors
asst of bits
more panels off As and 32s
flattie fever!
spare gearbox
here's the frame I purchased
spreader bars, cowl vent, dickie seat hinges, and more..
30/31 shell and a 28/29 radiator
I like it with the fire-breathing 4!
I will try to get the old banger running..it turns over freely.
some pics are from Bill, some are mine..so some double ups here.
here is it all at my place...one big trailer load!
nice firewall......so..all I need now is a cowl....a pair of roadster sides...a boot lid...a winshield frame...a grille shell...well, that's a start...go out in ya shed and see what you have spare for me...haha

Getting closer...these pics taken a month ago.....shouldn't be long before rego now.....amazing to think this car has been in Bills possession for 45 years now!
Now to my part...Bill sold me everything that was spare, so now I have an early flattie to go in the frame....maybe....lotsa spare wheels..
