Had another good mid week lunch run last week, up to the Tarampa Hotel..nice easy cruise up and back..good company...thanks to those who came...
My next one will be just a week after I get back from US...but Graham Cowan is helping me to organize it...it will be meet at the BP Caboolture on the hwy at 10am, leave at 10:30, head over to Bribie, there is a little display of cars where we will pull up to view just before the bridge, then over to the island for lunch...more details when they get sorted...
Clash of events as usual...this Sunday is my coffee morning, so as to not interrupt Mothers Day...but also Garter belts etc. at Tamborine, Banyo swap I think..and the David Hack/air show/car show in Toowoomba....and probably other events..........
Speaking of events......better think about Newcastle next year for the 2015 Nats.....the car is built and tickets on sale...
This is where you'll find an entry form......www.asrf.org.au  ...but not for another week or so, as the final details are not yet ready to put into print...so it's at the Harness Racing Club grounds, next to the Hunter Stadium, not at the showgrounds....
I have my accommodation booked, but think quick...if you go on Wotif or Expedia or Hotels etc websites, lots of rooms are filling fast...most places are ranging from $130 to over $200 a night....I looked at Charleton Executive Apartments..Ibis..Mercure..Travelodge West..Novotel..Best Western Travellers Motor Village, Mayfield Motel..Tudor Inn..Gateway Inn..Best Western Blackbutt..Executive Inn..Gateway Inn..Quality Suites..Adamstown Motor Inn..Hamilton Heritage..etc.

The entance to the nats is in the middle right of this pic, most accommodation is within 4 to 15 km radius, so not bad really...
YAMBA 2014..Now, in case you had your wires crossed like I did...it IS NOT on the weekend of 7/8/9....it is the following 14/15/16...there was a mix up, and suffice to say, those in the park will be ok, as they have to book thru the club...but some people have already booked outside venues for the wrong weekend...so make sure you check this!!

another couple of quickies I forgot..

From an old Tin hunt down northern NSW...Peter Crain at the back, and Ken Brown, myself, and maybe Graham North under the tarp...I have more pics of this trip somewhere...
 'nuff said!
Cool pic from the late 60s...
Found this multi door deuce on the web  a lot of work gone on here!
pro-builders never cease to amaze me!
Needed to be a 4 door to show case the talent.
As John Davies would say.."A yard full of late model cars"!

Little bit of everything here.....

Remember I mentioned the 2000 books I purchased on gumtree...slowly getting thru them, and coming across jems like this!
Lots of good stuff for me to scan n print eventually
Ever wonder just how many flayheads were built...and hopped up as well!
I have lots of excess books to part with as well....all double ups when you acquire so many...
This e mail came thru about one of Fords boats being made into a home...
credit to the photographer/publisher for putting it on the net...cool pics!
Every detail in the ship remains the same as when it was afloat...

 Cool!!
Getting a tad excited...not long to go now, just 6 weeks away....I still have a spare room booked in LA to get rid of...might put the word around and see who need it.
Love to know how many aussies will be there...it'll be like sideshow alley at the Ekka!
Tim sent thru pics of my old roadster....new split cover instesd of a top!

 Looks great!
Mid week run next Thursday 24th to Tarampa Pub..

Researching pics for Rods Inc. 50th celebrations.....came across some gems...my old road duster on the way to Narranderra Easter 75
A roadster I owned briefly and let it go...(idot)...was built up by Gary Ward..had a 332 fairlane engine back in 67/68 era..I think I paid $950 for it as is...shoulda kept it...
Another that was ahead of its time..Tommy Fultons T bucket went against the Aussie way of building, and had the California look, complete with slicks, spokes, and Hilborn injected flathead...this would be cool in any era!
my front yard..about 1968/69/70, with one of Peter Crains T bucket projects...I used to make all the frame bits for these...love the Cusso hood used as the advertising board!
These great pics were from a  recent wedding in Toowoomba .....
Got the bridal party outa the way so we could capture the cars....
Shane, Malcolm and myself have done a few of these together now.
