haha...I thought you might like this one I did as well.....

this week......nothing much happened...except the mid week run!

So...today we took a drive up to Palmwoods to Ricks Garage......nice easy run up the hwy, and thought we might get arty-farty with the passing trucks hubcaps.......looks like I have to go to photography school more....but speaking of skils....and I possess very few....I found the link to doing the Hitler captioned videos on Youtube....had fun with the first....and when John Davies and I had our usual chuckle about which club was 2nd...I said I would do one on that subject...all in good fun, hope it brings a laugh to you guys old enough to remember the 60s....i'll put it up here next..
I don't remember ever going to Palmwoods...nice quiet town tucked away from the Hwy....we took the Nambour connection Road, and I was surprised to see 'Pineapple World", or whatever it was called...I had forgotten all about that place...looks like it deserted now since the hwy by-passed it.......shame..
Bruce Young was already powere parked...seeing as he lived close by....
The owners had given us the best parking spots, and on such a hot day, the drinks and shade/air con was very welcoming...as usual, we managed to have perfect weather...just a tad hot with the afternoon storm that were predicted..
Two convertibles ran up there with their tops down....but they were up for the trip home...the sun was fierce!
All in all, a great day......however...hope you all went straight home...I had to pick bits up at Beerwah, then decided I may as well go check out Cosco....well, 2 hours later, we're coming home into one of Brisbnae first wild storm for the season......and my first experience of driving thru a hailstorm in the Tudor...thank goodness it was only pea size , and 5 minutes worth.......no damage that I can see to the 32.........but the rest of Brissy copped it a bit...hope all out there got thru it ok.....(this file pic from the Courier mail shows how black n green it looked...just like this.........ugly!

Later in December, on Sat 13th, I have been asked could we turn up with about 6 to 8 cars at the local Victoria Point Retirement Village.....just a bit of an idea the staff thought might interest those retirees...more details later, but from about 10 am to 1 pm...let me know if your interested, please.

just a quicky...todays coffee run..

another top day for the coffee...just a tad hot, but the shade sails sure help.
I got too busy talking to take pics...here's Gasser Gav making a blurry exit..
"It was seven oclock on a Sunday...regular crowd shuffled in".....sounds like a song!
very good rollup again, even though it was going to be 32degrees of heat.....final count was 32 plus a couple of others....whatever that adds up to.....in case you were wondering, Dougie...
so, Doug...you didn't want to see the same old cars...well here's a nice work ute...
 and another ute thing...
 and a bike..
this is what I need to do...collect enough parts to put my roadster back together like this almost original roadster...
here's less cars...more people shots, Dougie...
Doug, here's a ferret......I mean a dog, named "Ferris" Bruce.......
Here we are, under the tree of knowledge...and Doug...turn around next time so I can "snap" you

my week.....home from Yamba, and back into it!

Today was nana Dunns 95th birthday...hope we're all as good as she is when we get up in the 70s/80s/90s....
Both Thomsen and Dunn families were there, so couldn't resist trying to grab a similar pic to the one taken with the race car, about 25 years ago...
Nah...we haven't changed at all !!!

Here's the deuce parts we purchased..
really nice firewall and lots of trinkets
the Windsor parts didn't come with it, so they are still available for sale....
wait 'till I get more pics from  when this car was first found...late 60s
wish I'd kept more of my old flattie parts...at least I have a gearbox now..
Frame is as found, just lifted the cut down roadster body off it!
 more bits..
some Model A bits I purchased as well..
I don't even want to clean it....love all the dirt and patina ...not for everyone!!
Umm...I might treat it to a dropped x member front and rear though...
And I'll try to run the 4cyl first, before I fit the early 21 stud flat motor
some nice fenders with just enough tweaks and patina to make them "spot on"
Heaven....I'm in heaven.....as the song goes...
doors are nice...I just need to find a cowl to swing 'em off...
I'll be on the scrounge...need any original 32 parts you have hiding away.....hinges..handles...roadster flanks,...roadster windshield frame   .lol
 here's why I need flanks...she's cut a midship!!
crikey...I just got rid of two old factory carbs about 5 months back...now I need one....*Note to self.....don't sell anything...anymore, because you will need it one day!
so, thanks to Bill for letting me purchase this gem, it's now safely tucked away in the shed..B.I.Law. Col has offered to come around and see if we can fire the banger..
This would have to be the mint'st firewall I've ever had.....it's damn near perfect!
even has the factory insulation....I will have to look after this...I picked it up incorrectly and broke a 2" strip off the fragile material..I'd better bolt it back on the frame......*please let me know if you have any parts that I can purchase to get this back together...may as well make it up again as a roadster.....but....if you have anything closed cab......try me,      greg@comstar.com.au 04 37 32 31 33.
don't forget..coffee tomorrow, Sun 23rd Nov at Victoria Point, Mid week run next Thursday, 27th Nov, to Ricks CafĂ©...meet at BP Caboolture at 10am, and then last coffee for the year at Vicky Point again, on Dec 7.............also, if any locals want to do a charity mini show thingo, the retirement home called Marabella at Vicky Point want us to bring some cars to show off on the 13th or 14th of Dec...I will find out exact details/times, and put it in a future blog.
