It's handy having it up on a stand, high enough to get anything done underneath, and not too high to work on from above....and I made it so that I can push around easily...took a full day to make, but it's been worth it.
Just enough room to get some fender brackets up there....or maybe I could just leave them off....I wish!
Love my new So-Cal spring hangers, they look the part......now to figure out how to hang the.....................c..y..c..l..e..fenders on them somehow...not a lot of room left down there.
The Pete n Jakes ladder bars went on easy, but I will still have to do the 30% C notch in the frame for a bit of extra clearance. Will have to look for some rear shocks now that will work, and I may even try to get a sway bar up in there somewhere.
The front shock brackets I tried to use didn't seem to work out, I had three different types, but in the end, I just fab'd these ones from some box tubing with a heavy wall insert..they will work fine. I have a new spring ordered from Darren (Oz-Rods), as the Speedway Motors one has too much arch, I want the car to sit reasonably low...even though I'm trying for a 60s style anyway.
The ROD-TECH manual pedal setup arrived a few days ago, so I can start on this area. I found some small Ford Escort pedal pads that will work, so set about making the little bolt on adapters to suit. It all worked out good, they are just big enough (or small enough?) in the limited room in a rhd 32.
