3 w Brookville for sale in Qld....here's the info from Graeme..

I am considering selling my 32 Ford 3 W coupe as manufactured and assembled by Brookville Roadsters. Here is a description of the car so if you know of someone who may be interested in purchasing it, they can contact me on my e mail at grr@flatheadv8s.com or by phone...07 54352533..$46000. There is no rust in this car, and just some minor bodywork required so is an excellent start for someone who would like to finish building it. The body fit is excellent..well, at least I think it is and as mentioned, this body was assembled by Brookville, and not another entity. I will sell it without the wheels and tyres if the buyer wants to go in another direction. The original chassis is a good one and not a piece of junk. The description of what is included is below, and if you need to know anything more, please contact me.

The package comprises #12 body 3W coupe out of Brookville, with an original firewall. The body was pre-primered inside and out before it left the USA by renowned Early Times hot rodder Richard Graves, to protect it. The body is complete with working cowl vent, all garnish moulds, header panel, dash with glove box, Brookville rear fenders and original Ford fronts (still need some finishing, but solid fenders or alternatively Brookville front fenders in lieu), original front fender braces, solid original running boards (which need covers if an owner wanted to go that way), 32 rear end, Superbell 4" dropped axle with new perch pins, radius rods in front, original frame with Model A front crossmember, frame partially boxed in front with Flathead engine mounts, front and rear spreader bars, original gas tank, frame horn covers, juice brakes, nice original hood, new grille shell and stainless inset, original dropped headlight bar, original headlights, original steering box, original standard 1940 Ford steering wheel, Limeworks 3" column drop, original dash tunnel, very nice chrome windshield frame, windshield sliders and nuts for opening windshield, window regulators for doors and rear window, external locking deck lid handle and latch, new interior door and window handles and escutcheons, new timber floorboards. New powdercoated 15" steelies and wide whitewall tyres. No engine or interior. No rust to deal with so huge saving in bodywork. Obviously there will be some tweaking to do but the basis is there to build a very neat steel Deuce 3W hot rod......asking $46k.

there is more info, but I have to go out...will put text in later today...

some late August bits n pieces...

So..most of you know that Steve Hynards 36 caught fire recently..well, the remains are for sale, $13500 as shown, but without the wheels. 0400 296 881

As you can see...Ruby has settled in nicely...28kg dog is a bit easier to deal with ...lol.
Cleaning up my frame rails..Ryan thinks they make a good slot car track..
Funny.....I saw these sticking out of a packet in USA 7 years ago..seller said they were BB Chev...cool...I didn't look to close though...dragged them out last week and found they were Cleveland!..still pretty rare for brand new old stock...they're on e bay now.
Got the word from Darryl Kuhnemann that his coffee morings have found a new home....No1 on the map..Caloundra RSL, 19 West Terrace, near Nicklin Way
It's always last Sunday of the month...so that is this weekend coming...31/8/2014
Been assured this will be the regular spot..coffee van and sausage sizzle will be there as always, start time generally around 7 a.m.

This pic is here for no particular reason...........Faith at her best..
So...I have done a bit towards the coupe project...not sure why I did all this at home, as I still need the loan of a jig to square the frame, and tack in a few x members...
I am still unsure on what I want....pressed channel similar to original...2 x 1 box tubing like my first three...or round tubing like the last two...but I need to address areas to pass TAC, like the C notch in the rear, and a notch at the front spring....also need to decide on split bones and 36 radius rods....or hairpins and ladder bars...or hairpins and triangulated, as I have all of these combos in stock, and the x members must be done to suit...I have decided on full fendered, 327, powerglide, column shift, 9", American Tork Thrusts, as I have all this in stock........just can't decide on 32 spring, 40 spring, or coil overs...I think I need help.....what would make it sell better, as this is not a keeper...should I also put my TPI injection on rather than a carb??..........
have this narrowed 8" as well....do you think it matters for resale if it has an 8" or a 9" ?...because I have a maverick 56 1/2" *" that would probably just go straight in.
Probably have shown this before...but this tiny battery starts Darrens coupe just fine...and it's hidden under the seat...so compact!..what a great size, and starts it easily!

just a few more frame pics I found on the net..

And....regarding the last video for my non drag race friends...that pass was Saturday in St Louis.....two fastest doorslammers in the world..final run was 5.46 @272mph from the turbo car, beating the 5.47 @ 263 from the blown car...now, 20 years ago, my car pictured went 6.66 @ 210mph, and travelled the first 60 feet in 1.03 seconds..and that equates to about 1850HP.....so the two cars on the video.......60 more mph, but 1.20 seconds quicker....and .923 of a second to travel first 60 feet..now that is some GRUNT!
