Cheetahs.....still at it after 50 years!

Cheetahs Hot Rod Club......50 years of history in the sport and still going...here's a pic from last week, when John Davies, Mick Dillon, and Evan Isaacs went on another adventure collecting more old Fords.....ummm..it looks a bit cccold!
John tells me that the on board outside temp gauge was showing "0"...as usual, lots of friendly people along the way, telling stories about other cars available, so looks like the trio will be back for more....but make it summer next time!!
Here's one that was missed, A roadster in Calif was sold before they got there....
So do the next best thing...buy a leather back coupe anyway!
Here's Mick trying out the seat in the "Scorcher".
The things you still find these days...both these As have been in the family forever!
You have to do the legwork to chase these things..they're still out there.
John tells me they did 5000 miles in 10 days, from Calif to Turlock, on to Sparkes, NV, Boise ID, Great Falls MT, then another 200 mile to get the e bay coupe you see in the first pic....it was so cold, that Micks beer froze in the back of the pickup, and the water from the w'shield cleaner turned to ice as soon as it hit!!
Anyway, some bits are on the way, more will be packed in future container, so if you need a Model A coupe..better call John quick at Bayside Trimming. 07-33485320.

The trio hit the GNRS first for a few hours, before leaving to go to Turlock swap
Lawsons rebuild of the old Asquith roadster is very good, considering it was basically totaled a few years ago.

Old happy snaps from 87 show in Brisbane...Evans roadster
 Gary Wrights 32 roadster
 John Davies A coupe
 "Snoopy"...all the way from Tamworth.
Evan also had this 34 coupe in the early 70s
Club display way back 40+ years ago...the club will be 50 next year!
Keith Cunningtons old roadster...think this became Col Dells highboy in the 80s.
Looks like the McDonnell and East car park display.
Another I lifted from Jim Roses facebook page...looks like Jim and Evan following the SA R&C truck...remember when you could ride in the back and no one cared. Below is a pic of the old wrecking yard at Aratula that was a gold mine of material, all since been picked over and what was left was burnt in a fire 20 years ago.
Had this on here before, but good old shot of Mick Dillon in his roadster in the 60s.
