Just a few pics from my 2004 trip...first stop, Louisville, Kentucky...then road trip on to Fort Worth, and surrounds in Texas, Phoenix, and Tucson, Arizona, then L.A., California

I was in love, just about here....

Back in Charlies shop in TX......just another of the multiple 3ws he has owned
Funny..his old dirt tracker in '04......I saw it again in '12 at The Ford Store in Tucson....was being rebuilt finally..
God Dam *$#%*  *^%$## as Sid would say....he might cuss a bit....but one of those real down to earth rodders we love to meet..

 %w for sale back then....woulda-coulda-shoulda...
 hmm....
and again...think this was KIKIN STREET RODS down Marble Falls/Fort Hood  way.
Dannys www.texasexports.com always has a bunch of desireable tin available
This is where we saw the killer bees, got outa there real quick..
$3000 from memory.....was good value back then..not much missing, and pretty tidy condition..
and another on the side of the road...don't ya just love Texas!
bunch of Model A's somewhere in Fort Worth..
This 5w I have looked at for maybe 20 years now...owner has sadly since passed...
This was a nice car that is now possibly for sale..haven't seen it since 04
Sheds full of unfinished hot rods.....it amazes me...
this one had been owned by the same guy since 1955.....
Now this cool yard does not exist anymore..........and it had the gems!
and it was all for sale...you just needed deep pockets..
containers full of old speed parts..lots of magnesium...
going price was $1000 a pair back 10+ years ago..
 vintage speed was everywhere..

was hard to take it all in..
that was a new ZL1 alloy 454 block in plastic..
 Talk about in da weeds..
 old FED slowly being consumed..
 old Ford pickup cab..
another I should have bougfht...think it was called a GT-A...from memory, it was a 390 4 speed car..$7500 seemed steep at the time!
 LA..John Force car show..

Before Deuces went up in price..Chris Unger had this driving 5w avail for $25000!
10 years ago, that seemed way to expensive..

Kennedy Bros find all the jewels..

even in the wild west town of Tombstone, we found some tin.....it's everywhere!
