Rode shotgun to get some flattie parts..

Glenn needed some parts to finish the flathead going in his 34 coupe...thanks to mister knows everyone, Steve Coade put us in touch with Phil Mower at Yandina, who has a mountain of Ford parts in his collection..He had the parts needed, he builds all types of engines for people, but specializes in Henrys flattie 4s and 8s.......he has quite a few good runners available..
the pics show the extent of the parts, both big or small

 39/40 style engine
 rare big cube Mercury..
 heads awaiting jobs..
 literally...panning in gold up there/
 more aluminum
Model B with non counterweight crank..rare counterweight crank next to it..
Model B....no side tube like the A motors...
I didn't know this..but Phil tells me the flathead 4s were used up until about 1937 in some trucks

 lots of NOS parts...
 rare parts indeed!

You can call Phil on 0412-595 120, he is located up Yandina way, about 10km north of Nambour
While up that way, called in to see Craig Fischer at his new-ish 'Vintage Metal Works" shop..
A tub is his own project...location is 5/39 Central Park Drive, Yandina Qld., 0467 285971
 customers cars...

Scrivo...my latest reporter, with a wrap up of 40 Ford day

always nice to get other photos from people, of events not normally covered, and graham recently took in a trip to the US, starting off with the annual 40 Ford festival...enjoy the pics, taken thru different eyes, and enjoy....another few hundred to come in future blogs..
Just a tip on pics though...these were all taken large format..4meg or bigger...takes way too long to load...the trick I learnt...download them to my computer temporarily, e mail them first to myself, then save them in a different folder...pics will now be less than 200kb...much faster to load, and just as easy to see once uploaded on my blog..there's probably a simpler way..but that's all i know..
