My deuce coupe project for sale

some more asst. pics of the $34.500 coupe project..please note that things change as you build them, like these wheels shown are off my other 32..this coupe comes with new 15 x 5, 15 x 6 chrome steelies with baby moons..also be aware it is a work in progress..it has been assembled to see how everything fits, but the body parts  have not yet been finished ready for painting..lots of primer here n there to keep it tidy during the buildup.
** Just found a few more bits that will go with the coupe..so price has gone up a tad, but represents better value because of it (see below), but I keeping adding more "trinkets" that were not listed before............all the hard work done, just finish it they way you want" **
the rear triangulated 4 bars are adjustable, so the rearend needs to come forward a tad at assembly.
***The extra bits I found that were destined for this car, but I had not added, are now with it at $34.500..includes, a new Vintique fuel tank, a pair of new disc rotors, a pair of newly rebuilt Commodore calipers, a new 7" booster, if you would rather use new, than the old Gemini, has an XY master cylinder, all the fuel and brake lines are new, and are now in place..(well, two more lines are away being flared as we speak, and will go with it)..I found a bunch of insulation for the floor, leftovers from various cars, but might just be enough to do the main floor and firewall, there is a new set of Bob Drake repro headlights for it, these are the new smaller version of stock 32s,
Has a brand new Red Fox windscreen frame with it, has patterns made for all the other glass, has had door cards roughed out for use as is, or as patterns, has an alloy roof panel mocked up, that would be covered in material and glued on to look like a canvas top, has a 3 spoke speedway style flat alloy steering wheel, lots of smaller trinkets will all go with it, like the radiator shell ornaments, the hood latches, a front spreader bar in stainless, way too much to list...I may even get all these parts out and photographed, so there is no confusion as what is there, what needs to be done...but...it is very close to stripping apart, and painting, then final assembly.

the front fender needed a bit of massage to make it sit a bit better

 the hairpin rear mount..
early days of fitting the box tube internals..
adjustable rear 4 bars, with a (now) boxed in mount
mouint for the Gemini booster, XY Falcon Master..all the brake and fuel lines are now run and attached
 SoCal hairpins
home fabbed exhaust is run front to rear
doesn't have a tailshaft yet..thats just a lump of water pipe to mock up clearances
 rear exhaust hangers
boy, do right angle drive battery drills come in handy!
4" I beam has been powdercoated silver, the mocked up front end uses typical XA style rotors, and Commodore calipers
 brake pedal pivot
there is a bit of adjustment built into top shock mounts
the fabbed adjustable bracket I made to hold the handbrake cables..
Lokar shifter and Lokar handbrake, and you can just see the  modified bench seat...been narrowed 6" or so, came from an early 70s Datto from memory..
uses a plain chrome column I picked up from a swap..has the new Borgensen unis on the other side leading to the HQ box..but still needs a piece of "D" to connect it all.
I ran the brake cables thru a piece of the alloy to keep them away from the exhaust..
 arriving at the Lokar end..
the dog is bored with me taking so long to build this..but seriously, I have run out of enthusiasm and time to see this, and other projects thru, hence the projects are all going...
shows how long it takes..my grandson helped me when I brought the bare JW rails home..ready to start this project.....................he just turned 8! ..............
The 327 came out of a 68 Impala, it was said it had only 80,000 miles on the odometer, and I was also told it ran like a gem.....I fired it up a few years ago, but basically it has just sat in these rails for a while now..hopefully, it will still be useable as is..but just accept it as is..might be good..might need a freshen up!.........likewise the T350...came from the US a few years back now, but had good looking oil, but assume it may be safer to rebuild it.

 the chromies...
the body as I got it..I have cut the front lower of the firewall out to give it an angled toe-board inside.
The fenders that came with it..no knowledge of brand, but they might also be Deuce Customs
In Qld., you get a stage 1,2 and 3 construction process with the TAC...it has had it first inspection, which they check the rolling chassis, with engine in, exhaust run, brake and fuel lines run, etc.
the first mock up, many years ago...was thinking of red steelies back then...also have since gone to a dropped headlight bar with the smaller King Bee style headlights..note the smooth style grille shell..I also bought another rtraditional style one that uses the emblem and radiator cap...you can choose one or the other to go with this..both fot with the new Walker radiator, and the new grille insert.
I tried many different pedal combos, but in the end, I made my own from parts supplied from Rod-Tech
nothing like using dummy fittings to figure out where all the clearance issues will be..

early days..its not seen here, but the floor had to be notched at the rear near the tail housing, to allow the Lokar assembly to work..this needs to be finished off yet
there is now a trans cooler mounted on this side..

mounts for the front of mufflers

I spent a lot of time doing internal bracing because of the factory C notch..probably over engineered, but best to be nice and solid in this area.
