just a few of the shows sat Dec 21

I took a trip out to Old Petrie Town to join the Donut Derelicts in their Xmas coffee morning, great location, great food, on every saturday morning..

and unlike my venue at victoria point, there is enough undercover seating and tables for about 50 at a time...wish I had this...
I didn't go, but later that night, Northern Districts had their monthly car show on, here's some pics...

not a big show, but they have stacks of room for more cars..however...
The new kid on the block seems to be Joes Diner under the Gateway Bridge, Northside, and once again, I haven't been, but photos posted seem to show it already has a huge following..here's just a glimpse..

Looks like it might be worth a trip one night, but parking seems to be a "get there early" deal
And I see there is a new show in the Redlands, apparently this is the first on Australia day, then it will go monthly..bit different to mine, as I read it's a 10 am start to li
unchtime deal...worth checking out if you are local.

From the department of useless information.....

I sold out all my coffee cups at the 100th morning, but have to add some orders for those who missed out..cutoff is Dec 24th, so just look below and email me if you want any...1,2,3 or 4, left to right..$10 each...

we were talking about Bob Triggs late 1960s build Cortina with Windsor, and I mentioned it had S.U. carbs..here's the pic..
Our Texas correspondent is back in town for a few weeks, enjoying some hot weather...welcome back, Les Winter.
I saw the Ron Wilson roadster up for sale in ASR, word is, it's coming back to Queensland....
Also heard a rumour that our friend Daphne Boyd from Casino may have sold one of her 32s , with the roadster maybe finding a new owner in Queensland....hope the sale of her new 3 window can happen as well...
old, old pic, but you have to admit, Buicks sure look cool.
Bringing overseas guests to Queensland in June, what a great idea, Queensland certainly has a lot to offer, even in those Winter months...
Once again...we talked tailshafts recently..found this on the net..
my 2020 Bush to Beach run is on in May, if it interests you, email me at greg@comstar.com.au
70s seemed a lot more liberal than today...guess we can only keep trying for a non-fender exemption...maybe if I get a Doctors Certificate to say fenders make me sick....will they believe me?
9" Fords..I still get asked how you tell an LSD from an open...here's the easy way if you can see the hemisphere...LSD on the left with the raised section/recessed bolts for the clutch pack, on the right, flat area, exposed bolts, typical of not a limited slip carrier..
Ronnies Roadster..beautiful car, and thankfully, it hasn't changed..
and speaking of radical cars...our friend Tom Fulton wowed everyone back in the 79s with his unfendered, drag slick shot Deuce hiboy.....well, the new car is almost ready...

a sneak peek of what's in store...as radical as possible, and legal to boot!

This just surfaced recently, Tom at Eddie Fords farm in Victoria..
Yep..it's got an ARDUN......debut should be within a few months..can't wait!

three posts in one day...this heat and my air con office made me do it!

I purchased this 1932 Ford truck some time back, but reality says, I have way too many projects to build, so am putting EVERYTHING up for sale, and see  what I am left with...pictures following show what there is of this 131" wheelbase, these were sold as 4 and 5 ton trucks here
not shown, but there is a rough pair of front fenderd to go as well, will add a pic later..

old banger motor did the job in those days..200 cubes!

anyway, price in what you see in these photos, but with those two front fenders, is $2500

all above is 32, all below is 35
I also have this rolling 35-36 Ford truck chassis, once again, it's the shorter 131" wheelbase, but this was a complete truck that a friend bought, and used the cab to build a 35 1/2 ton...

so what you see above is this bare rolling 4 ton chassis, I need to get $1000 for it, but the engine still belongs to the original owner, and he will part with that for another $500
While I'm selling for friends, Malcolm in Toowoomba needs to move his 1950 Ford convertible on, so he can finish some of his other projects...this was imported from the US about 10 years ago, so has all import paperwork..it was a running driving car, as you can see by the pics below, but it has been sitting in a shed for maybe 5 or 6 years now without being started-driven, so will maybe need brakes being don before it can be used...one window has been broken since these pics, and as a motivated seller, it was for sale at $26,500, he now says.."No time wasters, no offers, just bring your trailer and $22,000 and it's yours"....call him on 0457 718 424

Back to my bits below..
I also have this 1935-1940 style truck chassis, this is the biggy, it's the 157" wheelbase, but basic front end rear end is same as the 4 ton trucks..rear end is frozen, hence the trailer axle under it to move it around..if this doesn't sell before Xmas, I am cutting the chassis off behind the gearbox xmember, as I believe thats where the value is..the rest can go for scrap, so if you want it as is, bring me $500 !!

I'm also selling my licence plates...haven't used them in years now, so may suit any 1932 Ford owner...price is $1000.
another friend has this fresh 34 coupe for sale, all body work just about done, new parts included, on a chassis with a dropped axle and 8" rear, differnt wheels now, has new American Racings..it's a rare american bodied 5 window, with all the hard work done..priced at $55,000...but for exact details of what goes with it, phone Doug on 0412 370 515

and down the bottom, last photo is one of those rough fenders for the 32 Ford truck....
