Mid week rod run, and bits from Texas.

I was cleaning out my old 'puter files and came across these pics from a couple of years ago, that Charlie sent me...this was available...but big $$$$$$
 AAWWWWW...it's only a 4 cyl model....pass....
Imagine finding something like this...they're all still coming out of the woodwork
And to think...when we went to the US in the 70s...these were probably about $500 to $1000 back then....and probably better condition than this!!
Had our October "Mid Week Rod Run for Retirees and RDO Takers" today...a good drive through the back of the Maleny/Montville area.......good mix of cars.
And, new people...I like taking this each month to different areas, to get more people involved..11 cars this time..not bad...next month, we're off to Mooball, NSW.
Locals help with the research of the area, and Graeme Robinson and John Field helped guide us on the scenic back road........which was in the process of being re-bitumened...haha..all good, these cars are made for driving..take the good with the bad.
Rest stop for pics was Cairncross Park, with good views back to Brisbane area.
Guess who now owns a pickup truck....Les did the deal on this 33 closed cab.
No favourites on manufacturers, but he sure likes red!...only been there a month now and has all the bits to chase parts or go to cruise nights..."living the dream"....
