My Kit Kat melted in the sun....ten minutes in front of the air con fixed that problem!
We stopped at the town of Aztec to view the Aztec ruins....amazing construction from eons ago...and most of it still standing as built!!
 what you see above ground...
 and what is built below!..fascinating..
Room upon room were built....all with this mini me doorways..
and what about the window built into two walls....(roof is missing)..also, small ventilation holes in each room..
 here's another weird window..

 ventilation shafts..
and, like the pyramids in Egypt....this wall is aligned with the summer solstice track
All this near the town of Shiprock...named after the mountain, I presume.

Now heading into Monument Valley..

 Rock art..

our Indian tour guide...his info was great...his driving, not so good..

Yep...down to the sills....I did point out we could have been on the left fork which was rocky, not sandy....duh! while he phoned for help, I just gathered up lots of rocks, put Nita in the drivers seat, and da-daa...we were out....he promptly reversed back about ten feet, gunned it, and straight back and over the crest...
 weird rock...
If you look closely...you can make out the new "View" hotel that blends into the hilltop

No cars yet...got more of the tourist trip to post yet.......you'll have to be patient.
