More bits along the way to LA

Called in to see Charlie Burchett at Genes Hot Rod Parts in Knoxville...his daily driver 5w, as well as a recent purchase tudor


I did 4912 miles (7860 km ) in the Dodge...$820 in fuel..love my road trips..

Jump past Arkansas, into Oklahoma, and had to stop at the worlds second largest Casino..pity they still allow smoking inside..cough, cough..
Del Taco...yumm....I will miss these..
Nothing much out here on the way thru Texas..
Except good little country towns..
But, lots of abandoned dreams..

fascinating building thousands of years old..and still in almost perfect shape.





Headed out to Monument Valley, backdrop to countless cowboy movies.

Twisted building in Vegas...it was a medical centre !
Cool aquarium inside the Golden Nugget, with a clear water slide tube that goes thru the fishtank..
Fremont Street was great..party night every night, nice safe family atmosphere.
all the usual characters..
overhead light show was fantastic..they even have a zipline ride you can take just below the canopy.

first stay in LA was at Knotts Berry Farm Hotel.....really nice..

Oversize meals as usual...gotta start exercising now.
