October 20...bits n pieces..

First..to pass on some news..as some of you locals know, Chris had to go in for an operation this week, to investigate and remove something internally...the outcome is a little bit more complicated, which will now require some Chemotherapy..To Chris and Heather, I'm sure I speak for all of your friends, hoping for a very fast, easy and speedy recovery..

 Now..Tony Fox has some spare parts from an A tudor that needs to find a new home...the seats are in resonably good condition, while the floor sections are maybe just good for patterns..

 Todays lunch run went to the Rathdowney Pub,,a great 1 1/2 drive through the back of Beaudesert.

 not a biggie, about 10 card from memory, 25 or so for lunch, but you cou;dn't have asked for a better day for a drive...except the roadworks...why do I always take people thru road repair areas...duh!!

 The food at 'The Rathy" is always exceptional..as you can see...2,4,6,8,..bog in, don't wait!!

 John Finch..really...you're going to eat all of that!!...the table behind was myself, Jim and Leslie Peall, Frank Nolan, and Finchy...we swapped old RODS INC. stories for an hour...ah, memories...I especially liked the one about Crainys 32 roadster being spirited away from the coachbuilders house...I musn't have been there..don't remember that night!!

 nice peacful shady area they put aside for us...back again next year then!

 Carls place is mower central for the area, ride-ons his specialty, there must have been 100 or so there he is either fixing for customers, or a bunch he just wrecks out.. so if you need parts..or repairs..

 Found this old Fiat for sale there as well..no details on it..phone him..The A model behind was just sold last week..

 as you can see in the background, the 32 tub has not progressed much, as all the spare time is going into his Deuce Tudor..not far to go on this now..

 still have Wallys plates for sale...please pass the word around...not much else left to go, so thanks for all those who stepped up and purchased something..

 Wal had this 23 set American Hot Rod DVD series...he only watched a couple of discs I believe...anyway..buy the set for $60..I can take them to Yamba, as that;s my next hot rod event..

 did I put this up last week..boy, my memory is getting bad..anyway..Glenn bought this pickup for something else to go onto his to build list...love it!!

 I found an old book, full of 50s/60s pictures in colour...not sure who printed it, as the cover is missing..so can't give credit for however took pics or printed them..old adds, old customs and htrods, old drag race pics, it has it all....anyway..thought I'd start sharing some from time to time.
