"Up, up and away, with TAA..the fri"..wait...wrong song...not long to go now..sat arvo and I'm on the big bird outa here...a nice relaxing trip with my wife Anita, , and former business partner and Brother in law, Col and his wife Dawn...
fun trip planned, gobble up all that money I was going to spend on another hot rod...but, I need to travel...I love discovering new places....and next year, maybe, do the 6 month caravan trip around Australia...youll be thwarted for blog material again!
Les W still sends a few pictures back from Texas...some of you may catch up with him again, as he has to make another quick return trip to Aus, before heading back for the remainder of the year in Texas...His long term dream of staying for quite a while in USA is finally coming true..
Nice A in the Murrays Custom Rods shop..
always great to call in on Don Smith, and his every changing and increasing stable of hot rods and race cars...now, isn't that deuce 'so right"..
He has the knack of getting the look correct in all his cars..
forget the foreground..check that rear setup!!
Pass the salt, please...talk him into coming to Lake Gairdner, Les...
I'm starting to love the look of wires again...
Hey..there's an idea for my tub...paint it in 'Simon Transport burnt ochre" like my sedan..should I?
 The things you see...
Hello..What's going on here...Les has a hemi in his pickup truck now.....hmmm.
Me ol' mate Les..45 years ago.. See ya Les, won't catch up with you for a while...have fun over  there..
Locals...don't forget to check this car show/food/music this coming Saturday in Capalaba.
last reminder locals...next coffee morning is May 15..and is at 34 Worthing Street Victoria Point, just a little way back up a bit from our normal venue..hosts are Garry and Debbie Moore, and Steve and Cassie Pesch...
with 7 weeks away, I decided to have some work done on the old Deuce sedan....over time, one wiper stopped working, interior light stopped, horn went out, CD player stopped, and now the headlights went out...time for a major rewire job, so sent it away today over to Kevin Parkes..
I checked out just one of Kevins new projects..(he has many)..this is his RodBods 34 coupe, after it came back from some work done at Toowoomba Rod & Custom..just about everything is purchased and ready to start assembling...but as usual, too many other jobs come in....
Lilow independant front, coil over  rear with disc brake 9", injected late Windsor, another good build!
There has been a lot of stories on facebook about the upcoming "BOOGALOO INVITATIONAL" at Castlemaine, April 30....looks like a great event, pity it's so far away for us banana benders..

Here's a few pics of cars being thrashed on, ready for the event..

of course, being Castlemaine, and the Boogaloo being old old school cars...how fitting for Swifty to have the iconic 60s bucket there!
