so, my mid week run got cancelled last week because of the thunderstorm threat..so try again this week...this Thursday, 2nd November..meet at the KFC Redbank Plaza for coffee, before the short drive to the "Old Fernvale Bakery"....or you can just meet us there at 11:30 or so..
The venue has indoor or outdoor seating, enough to handle 50 or more..and the weather is meant to be fine and 27C..not like the 34-35C of last week..
go down the side street and park in the rear parking area
and fingers crossed for great weather....
Sunday of this week is coffee time at Victoria Point..5th Nov, starts at 7am
lots of bakeries and sit down meals available in this area, ..maybe no rain again for event #69.
and for some of us, the following week will see the annual trek to YAMBA N.S.W. for the Borderline Clubs run..it's officially 9/10/11/12th November this year, but a lot like myself, go for a week or more.

Great venue, although a little crowded these days as the popularity increases...maybe one day they will manage the numbers by putting either a limit like 350, or a pre-1969, or something to help make it more manageable..a great run put on by a great group of people...
and speaking of rod runs....I have been thinking for a while of attempting to organise a "Road Trip Rod Run"..7 days on the road...a different town to stay at each night...3 to 4 hours of driving maybe between each stop...about 1000 miles in total...taking some hot rods to some towns that don't normally see them...enough time to see some sights at each place, and kick back and relax each afternoon..possibly around May to avoid the heat...biggest drive would be Day1, Brisbane to Gayndah....then, day 2 to Biloela....day 3 to Taroom,....day 4 to Miles....day 5 to Goondiwindi....day 6 to Warwick,.. and day 7 back to Brisbane.....who would be interested in something like this?...email me at greg@comstar.com.au or sms to 0437323133.
