selling for Diane Kuhnemann..steel 32 5 w coupe

1932 FORD STEEL 5 window coupe for sale:

History:: This is a deceased estate sale, we have been asked to find a buyer for the late darryl Kuhnemanns 1932 Ford coupe. darryl was trying to get this car finished before he passed away in June, so let me explain...The coupe is not finished, however the majority of the work is already done. It will still require engine work, and some minor driveline work, and no doubt, other finishing off areas, but as you can see by the photos, it was close to completion.
We have no idea of the actual build cost, but some items are known, so with his wifes help, the best we can do is give a rough estimate based on the figures below....
BODY:: It's a brand new United Paicific unchopped steel 5 window body, worth approx... $30,000.
we know the body prep and paint cost him .....$14,000,
plus there would be glass/felts etc., ......$1,200

Interior::All new, was only finished in August, other bits, steering wheel etc..... $8,000

CHASSIS::The chassis, all new, work, labour etc. ........$4,000
The Flathead, needs a rebuild, has twin carbs, new dissy, water pumps etc........... $2000
The gearbox is an imported US T5, has the top mount shifter, also new clutch etc. .........$2000
New tailshaft .............$450
New wiring............ $1000
Rear end is a modified early Ford with a Winters quickchange........ $3000
Front end is a regular dropped I beam, has Buick brake drums, all new brakes/cylinders etc. $3000
New Wheels/trims/caps and tyres  .......$2000
Walker radiator/gauges/lights/grille/hood/exhaust, and probably more we have missed .......$5,000

As you can see and understand, all these parts, and all the labour,  adds up to $75,000 plus

OVERVIEW::..We, on behalf of his wife, have decided to offer it for sale as is, as an incomplete project, and are interested in taking an offer for everything, nothing to be sold seperate. The offer has to be realistic, and very close to the estimate we have shown above..remember, all we are doing is helping sell this for his wife...The 32 is currently located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, and for further information, contact Russell on 0418 744 656

Suncoast R&C Club/Darryls memorial/Roadstars Roundup..

In S.E.Qld., it seems lately we are spoiled for choices....what do we attend..car events everywhere, and this last Sunday, i had the choice of the Kustoms of Aust. car shop n swap at Yatala, which was up against Rods Inc.s car show n swap meet at Jimboomba...but I had an invite to go to maroochydore for the coffee morning, and made use of a 4 day break..took the caravan rather than the hot rod..
You can always count on one of our senior citezens to arrive first...and technically, he is between two lines...
there was about 50 cars from memory..here's some of them..

and..a few candid shots from some of the ROADSTARS club members who turned up

trying to organise a group shot....c'mon..

Nah..I wasn't a Roadstar..but got to photo-bomb it anyway...keen eyes will note that some Roadstars members went on to start other clubs..Rebels..Cheetahs..Bay Area etc..
And...Ralph Donahoo and John Murray STILL fit into their jackets..unlike me on the side, can't call me STICKMAN anymore..lol

old pic of Ralph Donahoo in his T bucket at the first 1966 drag meet, up against fellow club member John Anderson.....love catching up with these guys who started our hobby in the 60s, think I will have a "Roundup" of other clubs elder members at my coffee mornings next year...we need to do this, as health and age is catching up with us all, ..yes..lets do more catch-ups and remember those old days.
