5TH Anniversary..Coffee morning #66, Aug-6-17.

well..the event just keeps getting bigger..my 5th year of hosting this event, and tried an experiment today...hold it on the same morning as the BIG event down the road, Greazefest...thinking, that some would come for an early coffee, and then head over to the showgrounds..well, seems it worked for some...I was so busy talking, I didn't get much of a chance to count cars, but someone said 80, another counted 90..and I didn't take pics of all the cars, but here is my lot...
The Model A guys are always welcome..some are stockers, others are just usually hot rodded a bit with better brakes, smaller wheels, better tyres, and quite often, an overdrive..

another newer car, now a regular..
I welcome all US and aussie muscle cars, hot rods, just a bunch of friends enjoying the couple of hours..and did I mention, this was 66 now with NO RAIN!
 Hardtop was a stunner..
I'm loving the variety...really good to see the aussie cars in attendance..
 regulars...
love the HR, but the Galaxie got the puls running..
The doctor arrived....new 5 window has done the show..now for some street miles...
Mike Claridge has his A roadster all but sold, so bought along his new humpy custom...
we don't see enough traditional customs on the roads any more...that talent seems lost

 can't beat this look..awesome ute!
Me n Jim, usually the first to arrive at 6:45.. I have a ten minute drive, Jim comes 45 minutes
we sure did fill the parking lots this time..have to move closer to the bakery if everyone turns up!

Another newby...the show scene is just about done, and now, start the street miles..stunning 32
Henry certainly got it right in the styling...maybe I'm biased, but no other make comes close..
what it's all about...catching up, no cost, except for your coffee!!

Paul left to go to Greazefest..and picked up a trophy there..congrats!
Suan also skipped off early to take in Greazefest
Tom Fulton is back!..not only has he started on a 34 flatty powered coupe, but he just bought this rhd '54 club coupe, so welcome back to rodding after a many year lay-off..

Ronnie has a choice of cars, all top notch..but today was Willys day..
another newby..cut down A tudor body, 6 pack power, budget minded, but on the street, and that's what impressed me...built, I believe, for just under $10,000...see..it can be done..
low cost, fun in the sun..love it..

another regular T, sort of newish, but is racking up some miles..
 off to G-fest
 off to G-fest

Evans 39 just oozes "cool hot rodding"

last to leave...Tony and I live near each other...we got home just before 11am...
 see ya, Doc..

what I love about these days...catching up...1962/63/64 hot rodding icons right here..Clint Rose, and Gary Wright, both former presidents of the ROADSTARS hot rod club..by the way, anyone who does Facebook..I have created a ROADSTARS Hot Rod Club Queensland page, as well as a Cheetahs Hot Rod Club page, if your interested in these clubs..I will also do a Bay Area, my version of a Rods Inc, maybe even a Lively Set, a Performance Associates, and  Southside pages..
few more Roadstars..by the way, if you read this, and you're a Roadstars member, they are having a get-together at the end of the month, on Sunday 27th, at the Sunshine Coast Rodders coffee morning, held at Gregson and Weights chapel, Wises Rd., Buderim..7am to 9am or later..
and we three...the significance...Myself, Peter Crain, Tom Fulton..we sat together in 9B2
/10B2 at Yeronga High, and instead of learning Algebra, we created our Hot Rod Club..Rods Incorporated, in 1964..and remembering all the fun times we have had in the 53 years we have known each other..I occasionally drag out the old minutes book to refresh those memories...
