 Les Winter has decided to part with his 3 year old Deuce Customs 32 sedan, it has all steel fenders, TPI injected 350, auto, and is set at about $80,000, very reliable , and has the look!....0433502148

 Next, and this is one of those really desirable deuces, a gennie uncut 3 window...this 350, T 350 all steel car of Darryl Kuhnemanns has a bunch of history, being one of the first into the country back in the early 70s....Darryl has talked on and off about selling this one day, I reckon you could buy this in the next 12 months, but you'd need to have over $100,000....try him on 0417 620782

Last time we talked, Darryl said that one day, the roadster will go as well, and this was a surprise..Darryl says, for the right money, he may even consider selling his all steel flattie powered roadster....next year maybe....contact him on the Ph # above, but you'll need deep pockets for this to move addresses...Darryl also has his 48 Ford convertible project for sale, for around $30k, as well as his 1928 closed cab pickup..350, toploader etc. just needs trimming and a few odd jobs to finish..$48-49,000 would probably get it...

 Motor bikes are hot property...like this old girl, I've heard of a few in my time, but never bothered chasing them.....but an old BSA, or Norton would be cool to have.

 Surprising how many old 30/31 coupes and sedans are still lying around in USA

 This was the so called big find somewhere in Europe from memory..doors were welded shut, and the cars inside almost perfect.

 Lots of sporty cars hidden away, finding one of these is great but rebuilds are costly.

 Doesn't have to be a barnfind...some are just sitting in plain view, ignored for years.

 Bet you start looking at every barn differently now..haha.

 Imagine.....coming across something like this...and hoping it's not rusted out junk.....

 And our beloved Monaros had a habit of rusting up big time if left out..but worth saving...these things sure have jumped in value in recent years..I'd like one!

 Wouldn't you love to find something like this....even the barn is cool....I met a rodder up in Vermont who specializes in rebuilding and moving these huge wooden barns...piece by piece, disassembled..restores the timber and iron, and rebuilds..see, the value isn't just in the contents..

 We've all seen the stories about the barn full of GTs that were supposedly found in South Africa......and you've all seen the video of the barn full of GTs Monaros etc. up in the Caboolture area.....like finding a gold mine!

So...the search goes on..more treasures to unearth..............I have more pics yet to make you drool, so what do you know about that you should track down??

Barn finds...abandoned..lost....treasure hunting classics!

 I love the thought of tin-hunting....finding old cars, chasing down leads....and what made me think of this is the amount of Foxtel shows these days that delve into this...sure, some of the story lines seem to be "doctored" to bring a show to air...but it gets the brain thinking...and wishing...that one day, you will come across a treasure!!

 Lots of books on this subject, mainly from years gone by...but still, it's amazing to see what comes up ......especially in the land of the autos....lots more to find yet.

 I have come across plenty of scenes like this in America...lucky that they don't seem to be as eager to scrap as we do here in Aus.

 Just random pics I come across, mainly on google images...all tucked away for the day when farmer Joe will say, "I'll fix her up one day"..

 This scene was on Chasing Classic Cars from memory, had to pull the barn apart and drag them out sideways...the new "Barnfinds" show dragged out a 190 something the other day, and it fired up with some new fuel...amazing!

 Wonder how many of our aussie classics are still hiding away in sheds?

 This might not be a barn find. Looks more like a Ferrari collection been damaged...but I have been shown many shops like this with some rare cars just tucked away from the public....most collectors don't want to show anything, just keep it for the future.

 Even old race cars are collectible, look at these vintage 70s funny car bodies.

This is just the first part, as I can usually only squeeze 8 or 9 pics on each blog....so keep tuned for more random barnfinds!

What to do on a cold sunday morning,....Think I need to have a blog!

 So...in between moving Mother-in-law to an aged care home last week, I managed to get a few more bits done on the frame....pretty sure it is all bolted on as far as I can go now, just need the body...clutch and brakes are bled, motor runs, tailshaft in, alternator mounted, fuel in the tank,everything is topped up with oil and water!

Had a little problem with the headers that originally were on Warren Wilkies coupe back in the 80s...because his motor was front mounted, the pipes just touched my side mounts....Here's my quick fix....ring Warren again and get a set of his header flanges...just use two sets of gaskets and space the pipes away from the heads...easy!!

 Glenn has the whip cracked on himself, and is getting more bits to me every couple of days...cold weather has been a problem with the painting, slowing it down a bit, but we're away again....the trunk lid is ready to fit, looks kinda purty, don't it!

 I screwed up the last rear spreader bar...I must have "substance abused" when I made the first one, as it hit the tank...so the new one I made now has tapped ends rather than bolt n nut ends, and with the 60mm tube I used, it fits tight in the rails, so I added some curved end caps that finish off the end of the frame rather than being open..I'm still not sure if I will also add to the outside, (front and rear), some P&J style alloy nerfs.

There always seems to be stacks of fiddly little brackets...can't thank Glenn enough for the work that goes into painting a hot rod completely.Lots of hours!

Been collecting my aussie hot rod mags, and it's been fun re-reading all the stories...memories..Like the story on Al Parkhill...wonder where all these old rods ended up?

 You might not be able to read this, but it shows the committee for Jadis Rod and Custom club...Glenn Watts, Treasurer.....found lots of stories like this in the mags, early Roadstars/Rods Inc./Cheetahs/Bay Area bits...We must be old!!!
