 Well..todays coffee run looked like it might be a wash out....but I pulled another bunny outa the hat...that's 29 now without rain...I should organise the drag meet dates...

 weather..December...not sure why, but only about 20 or so cars there...but that's ok..

 those shade sails came in handy...it got hot quickly.....typical of Qld summer

some saturday morning bits before I hit the shed...

 Xmas season is here...so there will be lots to do that might keep us from our toys....always gets busy, parties, sport, family, and what about all the shops that close for one or two weeks...frustrating...anyway....enjoy the break.....I have all the sanctions in place for next years coffee runs, (ASRF calendar goes from Nov to Nov.)so I will add these to a page later this month with all the dates of all the car events that I think will interest the Brisbane/SE Qld people...you should be able to click and print it off, I hope..anyway...1st one will be coffee tomorrow Dec 7, and Jan coffee is the 11th.

 Toowoomba Rod N Custom sent down some pics of recent activity at the shop....this steel 5 w has been in for a total body repair, it was very good to start with, but pristine now!

 Just what the doctor ordered....this deuce cabriolet has also had the works...

 and look at this.....a turn key closed cab pickup......doesn't get much better...gloss black, slammed, this highway hauler will turn heads!!

 Can't beat a highboy with steelies and wide whites.......

 here's a shop project for sale.....if you want an all steel deuce, just ph the shop.....it's ready and waiting for you

 another highboy roadster just out the door.....seems like  a lot of cars, but the Wilkies get through them....so if you need a project started...or want one finished...call them on 46342733, or "like" them on Facebook.

 Xmas brings families together..here's my extended family of Dunns/Thomsens and nanas 95th.......lot of future for our blood-lines in this lot....

 Yep..reminder..last coffee for this year is tomorrow, Dec 7 at Vicky Point lakeside shops....lets hope the weather stays away..even though we desperately need water.....so I don't care if it rains...just no more hail, please...

Sad to hear that my old mate Joe lost his battle last night.....Joe was there at the beginning..racing his 34 coupe in NSW and Vic in the fledging 64/65 era..went on to start Superflow Heads in Sydney, helped just about every early drag racer at his shop, along with his brother Ben, between them, they were always there at the drags, towing all around the country, and probably became best known in the old Wild Bunch days.....We would stay with Joe n Jackie when in town, and bench raced for hours...Sadly, since we quit racing, we didn't catch up that much, but always managed a phone call here n there....Joe......at 74, you gave Australia  years of your enthusiasm for racing, and all things Ford powered....I will miss you....
