 1.This will be a great fill in story amongst my normal ramblings...as Doug Pepper has sent me about a gazillion photos from his yearly trips to USA...Some of you will remember Doug..a member of Roadstars hot rod club from Brisbane, back in the 60s...

2. Doug spends 1/2 his year in US, volunteering in restoration shops for indy cars and the like, as well as working in various musems...so what he has sent me is mostly pics without text,so enjoy..

35..three oil pumps on a quad FORD

here's a teaser.....another outstanding tudor in progress..

Anyone who knows Dave Winter, can appretiate the time, thought, and effort that goes into building an outstanding hot rod, and this sneek peek at his new 32 Tudor will wet the appetite for the finished article....always a thinker, and pushing the envelope!!

 Yep...a pristine body, going hiboy style, sure, there's plenty of them around...but, spot the details..

 as in the roadster, the frame is stretched just a tad to fit the huge Hemi...front frame horns have been extended as well....and a custom length hood fills the gap..

 The body was great to start off with..but has subtle changes to the overall design

 flawless custom made tunnel..a work of art....and raised up slightly for the custom cut wood floorboards to slip underneath..meausrements/gaps/clearances are made are millimetre perfect

 note the detail in the engine mounts....

 Les and Doug...patiently waiting for it to be finished..countless hours have gone into subtle changes, like refitting all the rear wheel arches and body reveals to follow the shape of the tires..

 here's that pic..."To chop, or not to chop"..that is the current dilemma..hood looks like a two piece, but is one, with the centre strip added to look stock...

 curved rear spreader bar hugs the tank, raised wheel arches fit the tyre perfectly..

 custom touches to the radius rod-ends.....and a lot of work in the side-steer assy.

 %" axle needs 48 radius rods for clearance, as well as larger dia. tyres to get the 100mm clearance

 stock style hood is one piece, with single radiator to cowl adjuster

 perfect lines blend from one item to the next..check the front spreader bar...it has a relief cut into the leading edge...

 stock style roof insert will be fitted..

 Hmm...yes..no..maybe...think it might get a haircut...

 seating is on da FLOOR!...so plenty of room, even for my big frame...

 stock wheel is used, restored switches will be used, along with stock style dash..

 nicely designed pipes hug the body n frame..and look closely...there's a steering box in there with cross steer..

 with a complicated bearing assembly in the cowl, the fake side steer works a treat, and looks the part!!..Hemi will have Hilborn style stack injection..no nylocs if possible, all castleated nuts with split pins...

Nah!...I wouldn't chop it..looks great as is...just get it finished soon, Dave!
