First reminder..."Gregs Day Off" inaugural Thursday rod run is on soon!

It's on!..Join me on Thursday 22nd August for a mini day run to have lunch together...I have an ASRF sanction in place, so limited rego cars can attend. I have also organized for September 19, October 23, and November 21...will see how these first four go before I organize dates for 2014...but come along, no pressure, just a drive in our cars, maybe even (eventually) see if we can do any garage crawls or points of interest along the way!

This first one will be meeting at the B.P. Roadhouse at Yatala at around 10 a.m., slip into the McDonalds for a coffee to get us started....probably see about leaving there by about 10:30 or so....

Will head down Stanmore Rd., and join the Beaudesert-Beenleigh Rd., until we get to Beaudesert.....take the road to Boonah, and head for the lunch stop at the Duganddan pub. So if you're retired, or have an RDO, or want to take a sickie...come along, should be a good day out!
I am going to make all of these day runs to somewhere different, but all a bit off beat roads, and usually about 1 to 2 hours drive max., so the whole day is used up, but not that early to start , and home before the rush hour...well, that's the plan.....this one is only about 1 1/2 hours from memory ...can't remember if there is anything or any place we need to stop at on the way.....but let me know if there is!

Here's our stop for this run...should be here about lunchtime, so anyone wanting to join in from anywhere can wait for us here, or join the run anywhere that's convenient.

After lunch and refreshments...maybe about 1:30 or 2pm., we can head for home, but for me, I figured , instead of going back the way we came, or out on the Cunningham Hwy., why not do something (for me) different, and go home via. Peak Crossing to the Yamanto area, but turn onto the new-ish road that goes thru Springfield...if you haven't been on it, it's pretty good all the way to the Logan Tollway, except for the roadworks near the new rail link...I went this way yesterday to and from Willowbank Dragstrip....anyway...hope to see you on Aug 22 for lunch!!...those without a car running might even be able to hitch a ride !

3 more cars for sale...plus others awaiting new owners.

Glenn still has his roadster for sale.....this features a tri-carb rebuilt 350, with a reco T700 auto, probably less than 1000 miles on it, another great looking brand new car you can own for just $65,000, ph Glenn on 0429 313334

Warren Wilkie has his Brookville bodied roadster ready for sale, as pictured without the wheels, has a 350/T 350 drivetrain, 3" chopped screen, uses So-Cal/Rod Tech/Toowoomba R&C parts in the construction......nice place to start on your new project for $39,000..more details Ph. Warren on 0408 758373.
Les Winter would sell his tudor for the right money....TPI injected 350, T 400 auto, 9" rear, up near $80,000 would get it! ph. 32791064 or 0433502148.
Eventually, Darryl Kuhnemann will offer up his all steel 3 window, but not until his '48 convertible and Model A pickup have gone first...no price yet, but bring plenty of money...then add some more!! ph. 0417 620782.
Doug Mole would like to sell one of his Chevs...so has put them both up to see what happens....this crate motored, T700 auto'd hardtop owes him way more than the $54,000 he currently is asking.....it's a great reliable cruiser. ph 0412 370515.
Doug has also reluctantly offered his '56 Nomad for $37,000....once again, a good rare cruiser, you don't see these every day!! ..ph. 0412 370515.
Warren Wilkie also wants to sell his 8BA flattie powered C4 auto'd deuce sedan...another good reliable 32 that certainly screams "hot rod!" with that 4" chop...on LH9....$68,000 will take it. ph. 0408 758373.
Darryl has now just about got the A model finished and driving, basically, it just needs trim...Chev powere, toploader 4 speed, bring him $48,000, and you can take it home!!

Nothing to report, so you get this!!

 T Tub?? now that's different..
 Gettin' a party happening!!
 What can I say?
 Different!!
Hope this was 'glass, and not steel..
Taken from Rods Inc. facebook page....think it's at Boonah
I've ude this before....but it just looks cool!!

"Got a little more done this week!"

Just a quick catch=up to show the progress.....must be me, but every 32 I build, I come across little problems with the fit up...gotta rub paint off here and there , but in the end, it all works out...
Getting a hood fitted on your own is a challenge...but I did it without marking the paint...."phew!"...strangely...the gaps are pretty good, not like most Deuces...
I have to make some taller plates under the latches, as the spring inside is stretched to the limit...won't ever fly off this way!!

This is more like the colour...not really red, more a deeper maroon....wiring is just about done, steering column is in, seat is away at the trimmers......rummpity rump soon!
