Rattletrap 2...Drag-Ens did it again...

Following the success of last years event, Rattletrap 2 was earmarked for today, 12/5th, to take advantage of the tides for perfect low-key, fun filled beach racing at the Crowdy Head beach near Harrington, new South Wales.

As the pictures show, a perfect day for racing on the sand, and as usual, the organising people went all out with "the look" of old time fun with cars..the props, the attire, all perfect for this event..
sure, it was a clash, what with a rod run only  a couple of tows north, and the 90th birthday bash for model As over in Gulgong...but this is what happens these days, so many events, but thankfully enough participants that get to choose where they would like to be...and for me..that was home, watching it all unfold on the internet, while I get ready for my 6 day rod run that starts next Wednesday..
as I write this...the party is still going on down there..plans will be hatched to "do it all again"..maybe next year..so enjoy these pics from various people..they were all posted on the net, so thanks to all who took the pics..cant remember all the names...enjoy the pics below from today..

Yep..just a small collection of probably hundreds I could have downloaded..but just a taste, no doubt it will be covered in the glossy monthly mags..

GULGONG..90 years of Model As..

This event has not even finished yet, and looks like it has been a huge success..from the pics below, that have come across the internet, you can see what a big thankyou has to go to all those behind the organisation of this weekend..a celebration of the start of 90 years since henry Ford produced his fabulous A models
I wasn't there, so grabbed all these pics from a number of people who have shared their pics ...can't remember all their names, but sit back and enjoy the show...early figures suggest around 250 Model As turned up....Impressive..and considering there were two more events in a few hours of each other, and also the sudden change to bitterly cold weather inland..you all deserve a medal for attending this one-off event.

There were dozens more pics I could have posted..but I also need to cover Rattletrap, so hope you enjoyed this coverage...
Now to get back to preparing for my 1000 mile, 6 day rod run, which starts next Wednesday...
