My mid week lunch run last Thursday ended up at the Rathdowney Hotel..great one hour drive thru the countryside..terrific weather for Winter..just not a big roll-up, but that does happen..
A few of the cars..Cols newly acquired HR X2 looking good with new wheels..in the end, think it was 13 cars..about 20+ people..all enjoyed the day.....
Thanks to all that come along...
Oops..don't forget Wally..he arrived late!
So today, the SUNCOAST Club put on their regular coffee morning, with a drive to the cemetery where one year ago to the day, we laid to rest a great friend, Darryl Kuhnemann.
couldn't resist quite a few pics of the new Strathearn roadster..lots of detail on this A built in the traditional way of a stock 32 chassis, and the spacer under the body..
and..a beaut day for it..Darryl would have been pleased with the roll-up to his resting place.
there was a run to a lunch venue, but we had to get back home, so thanks once again to the club...there coffee mornings are well worth the effort attending if you can..
and speaking of Coffee..my next coffee morning is coming up next Sunday, 1st of JULY..7am, Victoria Point Lakeside shops...I have a BOYS DAY RUN scheduled for July 26...going to be something like this..meet at Emporium Milk Bar, Old Petrie Town at 10 am for coffee...drive to visit a car collection not too far away...and return to the Milk Bar for lunch..$10 meals, i'm told...and cap off the day, for those who want to, a visit to Lance Webbs home to see his memorabillia collection...then home before the traffic at Nudgee!!
Augusts mid week run is to The Wattle Hotel at Coomera...but that is only a short drive...do you want me to arrange something a bit further?...maybe Canungra Pub?..or the Dugandan at Boonah?..or maybe back to Fernvale Bakery..your decision..let me know..at greg@comstar.com.au .
