been too busy (or slack) to post anything...

My 7 day rod run started after the Toowoomba rod run, on the Sunday March 10th..
and we were off...first stop was Miles, a 3 hour drive with a few stops on the way
we didn't have as many participants this year, maybe because of the Street Rod Nats being not far away...but the 17 that went had a great time...
Miles to St George..typical country when you meet a herd of cattle on the road..desperate times for fatterning the stock means moving cattle to the roads to find more feed
On the way, we called in to see the old display at Glenmorgan
a big collection in the middle of no-where..
we spent an hour checking out the displays of all things old..
wouldn't you love one of these...spinner ute!
 flattie!

quick pic out front, then off to do more miles..
 bit dry!
Surat for lunch, then onto St George for overnight stay.
Nindigully Pub on the way to Moree...
we got there right on 10, so had to have a beer..
 it's 5 o'clock somewhere!

next stop, Thallon to see the painted silos..
 and a photo opportunity..
 Qld/NSW border stop for lunch..
didn't quite make it into Moree..after a particularly bumpy stretch of road, somehow I stripped the gears on my governor in the Turbo 700..hence, no 2,3 or 4th gears!!....tilt tray to town!!
at least they kept the good room for me...but that sort of was the end of the travels for me, as I had to trailer the car home, thinking that the trans had to come out..
most of our group, before they all headed off for Inverell without us..
Now, this is the way to travel in style!!
I did make it back to Casino for the last night...couldn't not go back seeing as it was my run..had a great dinner together.and some birthday celebrations..
Lynne and Leon had their birthdays......
as well as Marie....a great end to a 7 day rod run...
photos from others from the parts I missed..
the perils of a low car and a lump on a cattle grid...fixed on the spot by the Townsends!!
we don't like this part, but it's part of using a car on aussie roads....
 at Glen Innes..
 more G.I.
 and more..
 more..
 more..
 more..
 on the road..
at the Transport Museum in Inverell..

 Hmmm...whats up?

a break on the way, waiting for a tilt tray.....Ken and Marie go to most events, so the occasioal hiccup is bound to happen...so...to all those attended, thanks for coming, thanks for always being there to help each other..
and..maybe..a hint of what I have planned for 2020...
