 Robert Cassell always has some neat cars for sale from his shop in Fort Worth, but this is his "keeper"....he has a knack of finding old or barn find cars..neat guy!

 This bad-ass Willys was at the car show in Boerne, TX....lov the look!

Yeah, yeah, yeah....haven't had time to blog until now!!

 Look at the weather...they said rain maybe...but it's been 14 coffee mornings in a row now with beaut Qld sunshine.....this was Bathurst weekend, so down on numbers a tad.

 Lonely old deuce roadster has turned his back on the model 40s...haha...this was the first big drive for Rodney Roadster...all of 10 miles!!...can't use him too much, the 11:1 350 seems to use a lot of juice, for some reason....but it goes like a cut cat!

 My son and grandson admiring our old coupe...young Ryan went it lots of rides around the paddock in this ol Model A.....I love it!...don't change ANYTHING, Darren, especially the patina!

 Quite a few North-siders coming to the runs, with good friends Bob and Steph Briggs out with their new-ish Model A pick me up...body was from the local C&W Components factory.

 Most talked about and most people around one car award goes to Darren &Vickie Silich.s A coupe.

 Old faithful, good looking 33 tudor of Doug n Robyn Mole book-end the line up!

 Following weekend (Sat) was the promo day for the Cleveland Salvos, where Nita volunteers as a checkout-chic...good roll-up, not as big as last year, but thanks for those that took the time out...the Salvos said they had more $$$ than normal, thankyou!

 Pat was down in his pickup...thanks for taking the time to drop by.

 Had both our 32s there...roadster is currently up for sale, now that it is finished...$46,000, if you know of anyone wanting a Deuce highboy....

 Bruce took the time out from working on his Mustang project to help out at the Salvos...even brought some donations...Thanks!

 There's talk of a new Zarrafas Coffee shop going in, just behind where we parked....might be worth a look at for an alternative coffee morning!

That's all until later in the week, after we go on our mid-week Thursday rodrun to Maleny/Montville area...if you're going, be at the BP Caboolture on the highway by 9:15, and we head up the Steve Irwin Way to Beerwah, then the back road up the hill!

More news from Texas..

 The wonders of modern I phones....Les, Charlie, and Graeme went a few hours south today, to the town of Boerne, Texas, to see a small rod show...here's the first pic.....while we were sleepimg...they were photo taking for us!.....

 Friday night, Les went to the drags at Kennedale, a little 1/8th mile track in Fort Worth.....this was after having been at a mall car show deal...lots to do in Texas!

 The Stude is owned by our hot rod friend, Tim Cruise....goes 4.5sec in the 1/8th mile.

 Here's the mall car show....it opens about 3 on Friday afternoons ...they just block off a section of the car park, and in come the cars...usually 100 or more.....all types!

 Nice roadster...looks like a resto with just a bit of hot up goodies..

 Chris Dansie sent these pics from the Delta River Run.....nice straight tudor.

 Seeing all these smaller runs...makes you wonder just how many cars are out there, and how big the sport is in America....thousands of cars that you would rarely see in any magazine coverage...Chris and Heather have lots more pics from their trip...so I will try to borrow and blog some more for you.

Most important note for October....cancer awareness!!

 Guess we should think about health all year 'round, but nice to see it "pushed" hard in October...way too many people we know are affected.....

 So....here are some specs I found online...scary, isn't it!!

 OK, so I made my fender brackets purposely light-weight, so they would fall off, and then I couldn't run them....haha..it's an unfortunate "must have" for Qld......but what peeves me the most.....is that our own rodding community feel they have to "dob" someone for no fenders......why is this??...we have a transport and police department that should be the only ones that care...like in the USA where they have fender laws, but the police have better things to do than worry about some fenderless hotrods!!

 Anyway...off my soap-box and back to work...the new rears were made two way adjustable, so I can change wheels and easilt change the offset or height..I used some 1" x 1/4" flat, added some 1" x 1/8" flat to form an angle, then added more 1" x 1/4" flat at the corner, then some 3/4" box to stiffen, and Hello...sturdy as....the five holes in the bottom adapter have been made into a long slot, so the fender can go back, as well as up if needed, and still use three bolts to secure to the housing.

 Fortunately, the same front tyre size was used, so fender brackets just had to space inwards a tad to compensate for the 5" rims, compared with the 4 1/2" Halibrands

 Here's the adapter, that is now slotted....there are 5 holes in the brace welded to the diff housing, so it can move back and upwards, and still use three bolts to hold it firm.

 This gives me the scope to change to any of my rear wheel combos with little work

 Instead of the tying the top and bottom arms on the side, like many others are done, (see below)..I decided just to tie them under the fender, for a little more clearance...but the still stand out like a wart on the end of your nose.......think I'll get a print company to do a "wrap" for them, with a suttle "FTF" logo all over the fenders...

 So, here is the finished look currently, just need to get the front down a bit, maybe quiten the exhaust a bit, need to adjust the hood again, and touch up some painted areas,wipers are off, just waiting on an inside mirror and it'll be done. Got the add on e bay now at $46000 as is, or $48500 with the Halibrands thrown in as well.

So, the interior is now finished, thanks to SCP Automotive 0432288515, ...because I supplied the leather, and modified the seat and made the door cards...the whole job ended up being less than $2000...I'm happy with that!

 Here's my latest toy....just one problem I have to sort out...It's three phase, which I don't have at my shed...so I'm comparing a single phase motor vs a 3 ph. upgrade.....also, check around for snakes...I always get Carpets, which don't worry me, but some people I talk to have seen browns and blacks on the move......look out!!
