The weeks just fly by...xmas is forgotten, new year as well...

What a difference in two continents...These pics are from an aussie who lives in the Brownsburg, Indiana area......other people in this area you may know...Jeff Burnett..Steve Easton...John Force Racing....
 Snow blower time!
Pickups a bit cold to start!!
 Brrrrr!
 Meanwhile, below, in sunny Quensland.
Had the first of the year coffee run...great turnout, 47 cars..best yet!
And, at least 6 new cars from memory, the words gettin' around.
Was nice in the shade, but forgot about the cinema crowd...they wanted all our parking spots!..We'll move back a few rows next time.

John Wilkinson send a couple of pics from his garage...not much room up top!
Deuce and 36 both feature LS series drivetrains
Darren posted pics of the engine mounts he is making for a Hemi.

As usual, his work is just superb...detail freak!

Here's a reminder..Swap meet season starts...26th for the Chev Club, and then Toowoomba Swap is just around the corner on the Sat1st, Sun 2nd. February.
Toowoomba reminder: stall holders can get in to set up from 1pm on the Friday, Gate 8, and then main gate 1. will open at 2:30 pm Gates 2&4 open 5am Sat morning.
Ummm....think i'll take the red cart this year..just in case...
So, get in your shed and find some bits to move out......
Then, if you're like me...you'll just go back to the next swap and buy more bits back again...it's the cycle of the demented hot rodder..buy/sell/swap/trade...do it all again!!
Wally send me this in an e mail.....worth the read!

Ford Roadster

hot rods - flatheads - authoritative period-correct information and engi...

Not much for you this time...been too busy..

Lindsay Wilson sent this pic of an old time car wash bowl...how much fun would this be at work!!
A reminder that the coffee mornings I arrange start again this Sunday, 12th, at Victoria Point Lakeside shopping centre, but over the back from now on, closer to the breezeway that leads to the cinema........and remember for February, we will not be at Vic Pt, as we go to Randy n Herb Bayers panel shop at Loganholme..
Couldn't resist this snap I took in my front yard early on Jan 1st of a couple of locals still celebrating the new Years activities....they had their own fireworks happening!!
Well, after 121 miles, the roadster found a new home...I would have liked to keep it a bit longer, I really enjoyed this car, especially having a 4 speed, but it wasn't to be.
Murray Jacket sent along the pics of his sedan....not far to go now, the big block powered deuce is driving....and looking really tough!! Just needs interior now.

I laways appreciate material being sent to me at greg@comstar.com.au so I can offer more than just my dribble in this blog. Tim Perrin from Victoria went along to Johns R&C Picnic, or whatever it was called , last weekend in Melbourne....below are pics of some  of the 32s that were there.
Yeah...I know you get sick of seeing 32s...but they are the ultimate in hotrods!!
 The cornerstone of rodding..."The Deuce"
 If you can't afford a deuce...build a ......................I'm just jokin' with ya!!
Any hot rod is a good hot rod...I'm not biased at all.....hell, I've had more fiberglass card than real ones, so how can I judge what's best....
But you have to admit...Henry did a good job with this exclusive one year only model!

If you like 1935/36 Fords, best turn away now!!

Well, time to find a switch I need...think this ol 36 might have one.

Lets take off a door and go looking......it's inside here somewhere....
Nah!...not at the back...gotta be somewhere forward...
Somewhere near the dash they said.....

AAhhh..there it is...see it down there...now to get it off...

Just need to get a few more bits outa the way...
Almost there...I can see it...there it is....the little dipper switch...trouble is, looks like it might not work anyway....such is life!!!!
