this was my kinda car show..salt drippin' driven hot rods..
well..not all went out to the salt..like this superb 3w coupe..
nailed the big n littles look..
the Elmers cars just dripped tradition!
Bang on!
Flat fever...just add salt!
dem bones, dem bones, dem.....drove from one side to the other..and back again..Keen!
deuces on the big white dyno..
we're stuck in the Nanny State...how cool to be able to run slicks and no fenders...and no other rodders down on your case..police not caring..transport not worried...we can only hope we get to this here one day.......I watched a severly chopped coupe..no mufflers..no fenders..being helped to park by one of the local police...they accept this..why can't ours??
neato Crossley powered bike..incredible detail..
so..they journey back to Texas...but first, some sights going thru the Rockies on our way back to Denver.
dodging some wildfires..
tunnel vision in a 32.....
you take the high road, I'll take the low...etc etc
Vail..how different it must be in Winter with tons of snow..
ah!..there you are..Winter at Vail summit!.ta-da!

70th running of Bonneville..perfect conditions!
Bonneville...the excitement for me was my first trip to Bonneville..and the long drive out onto the salt...the anticipation of the spectacle about to unfold..
nitro lagester sure was loud..I took lots of videos, but for some reason, cant load them onto this blog..
automotive engineering was great to see
chev valve covers make great moulds for the weighted bars
bean bandits
tribute to those before..
couldn't resist a pic with Danny Thompson
the 36 pickup I should have purchased..good stock driver for $8000 from memory.
about how close you can get to the action..
I have more pics, but lost in the download somewhere...will eventually find them and upload...
