 A pic of Ray Lymberrys 32 roadster...I always heard it had gone to Mt Isa in the 70s...well, a guy contacted me last week to confirm he owned it at one stage up there (and he's coming to the coffee morning this Sunday).....wonder where it ever got to?...

 I like my caravaning...but this would have been fun in it's day..

 This was the old Bob Hilton deuce sedan....think Ken Brown owned it , and I thought I had it at one stage...but that was 40+ years ago...where is this now?

 Luckily, I grew up in an era of the old front engine dragsters..the rubber they burnt was great..the era of those early "super-car" engines....means nothing in HP these days..but back then...wow!...and the show cars..dripping with chrome!!

 Americans certainly hade the flare for good looking cars..boats..hot rods..and these 1960s books are filled with the "imaginative engineering"..twin engine boats, Allison engine boats, Indy car innovations when the V8 beat out the Offys,

And the cars...so cool...love to see the unusual powerplants used, not just belly button Chevies..and thankfully, not a rat rod in sight!!..

 I must admit....I struggle some days to add content to the blog...if I use my own camera, I can download and publish in about 10 to 15 minutes....but if I have to download pics from other sites...save..reprint...sometimes it takes me hours...so....bear with me...I will get to the blog eventually.....
..Thought I would click some pics from home...here is my new Eastwood brake flare device...

 very easy to use..just select the size die for the tubing..........

 swing-over clamp locks it in place...flat stop sets the length...

 Use operation1 for the first 45 degree flare, and operation 2 for the 2nd double flare...

 just have to pull the handle to the stop each time..easy-peasy..

 and...hello....double flare done in no time!...well worth the $250+ US if you like doing jobs like this at home......(disregard the safety boots in this shot!!)

 a few bends, a few line clamps, and the lines will be done soon..

 bought a mess of 90 degree 2 1/4" bends and started hacking/tacking/welding as best I can do for a busted ass retiree...looks like it will work..made a rather overkill rear tailpipe mount from some old insulators I had...and I will change out that dummy tailshaft I made from a bit of water pipe......

 drilling for the linre clamps is somewhat easier with my $80 ebay USA purchase of a new 90 degree drill..also clicks around to about 120/150/180 degrees..very handy.....but remember..it is 110volt US...so needed something to charge it...

 another easy job...googled 110v to 240v adapters, and found this from a company in Sth Aust called "Wallcan"..think it was $30 from memory, plus freight....

 now no trouble charging up any of my 110v, or for any other US product...good deal!

 coupla random shots of my last US trip purchases....more dropped axles...more springs..cant resist buying the stuff..

 pulleys...I must now have about 20 sets of early SB chev..gradually selling them off on e bay, along with lots of excess stock I have.

 way..way too much stock....all will eventually get used or go...

My USA parts are in...it's just like Xmas..

 Doesn't look like much, but there is a treasure-trove of hot rod bits n pieces that I picked up at the Lone Star Roundup, and Pate swapmeet back a few months ago...thanks to Steve Coade for hauling it all back to LA, and finding room in his container for all of this....there's steering columns, hemi valve covers, three 32 Ford hoods, pulleys, radiators, carbs, and lots of 32 trinkets....

On the trailer is 32 Ford front fenders, roadster rears, and a fuel tank, all destined for my next two projects, the Tub, and the roadster.

 

 Need warmth in your shed?..Steve bought about a dozen of these heaters..really fast working, good heat radiation, and runs on old cooking oil/engine oil etc......he set his up on wheels to move inside or out easily...

 Can't remember how much, $300 maybe..not sure...phone him on 141 283 1956

 Steve has plenty of cars for sale at the moment...this early A coupe is $16,000.

 He has two early Tudors...hope I get the price correct...think this was the one for $15,000

 This 35 flatback looked to be a very good start, not sure how much else goes with it for the $22,000 price tag.

 This late A coupe was nice as well, and was priced at $16,000.
