More bits from the week just gone...

Just when I decide to make my car full fendered....you catch a glimpse of another....and the mind starts wandering........hmmmm!...this looks good...
so, early in the week, I pulled the frame out of the jig to weld it a bit more
As you can see...all my ideas are copied....sorta makes it easy...this is the first 32 frame I have ever built...all the others I have paid to have them done..mainly by Darryl Kuhnemann, so it does make it easy to copy a proven design...all 50 x 25 x 3 RHS "X"
Rear coilover x member is heavy wall RHS in 75 x 50....but you will see later what I did to boxing plates to add strength where this will attach
After a trip to the northide, to hospital, and the skin specialist....it was convenient to call in on Les Winter to see how the sedan delivery is progressing......paint on the frame now...."Hot Rod Black" is the colour...
Quick change takes up a lot of room!...panhard..sway bar..all the good bits
The Chevy looks great!....I want to copy this look now...killer!
Jeep CJ5 shifter on an aussie top loader...drums all around, so no booster.
trialing some body colour maybe.....hmmm, that's a colour I was thinking for my deuce coupe...you might just see the ultra short pulley needed when shortening the water pump, so you can fit a chev into a Model A, without much firewall mods.
nice sturdy frame...the slot wheels look the part as well..

drum front looks tidier than discs..
 all fits in neatly here...
Back to my frame yesterday...the boxing plates finish with just enough room to weld the rear x member on, but I wanted to brace it first to the internal vertical plate ...just slid a piece of solid bar I between and welded it in...
here's a view of getting the frame rail to meet the boxing plates....lotsa work....
Then boxed the inside boxing  of the inside to the outside...all strong now...

 here's a neat C& W frame...
