Nelma Reed passed last week....one of Sth East Qlds drag racing royalty....there from the beginning..
Nelma raced husband Jims cars on occasion....just loved the sport....they both started out before Surfers paradise days, racing in the mid 60s at Lowood and Strathpine..
Rest in peace....Nelma Reed....one of drag racings icons in Australia.
Now...have to check on this...I heard the new Year Eve event is cancelled...hope not, it would be a good night, methinks..

another reminder...coffee morning this coming Sunday, 22nd November, at Victoria Point as usual..
and...decision made...mid-week run on December 17 will be to the new Sandstone point Hotel, just this side of the Bribie Bridge...thanks, Grahan Cowan for organising this...more details in a later blog...but we will have to meet somewhere other than the big Morayfield BP, as I heard it's closed due to a fire..
