No Rain...52 straight, I have been blessed...

Well, the weather men have been predicting for days, that we would have a big storm on Sunday, but lucky for us, it didn't happen until hours after the morning was over....it did keep the numbers down though..think about 30 or so cars turned up..
not cold, great winter weather..still enjoyable..my first event since I came back from holidays...spent hours talking and catching up with news..

Phil doing his best to try to sell his steel 34 sedan....good value here at $57000.
WW...Wilko and Watts...amazing the difference in 6 years by Henry Ford..
Les Winter made it, just before he flies back to the USA..his business is sold, the changeover has been done, so a retirement feast of rodding in Australia and USA is now in full swing....nect to him is Johhny Richards coupe, came up for Downunder Beachfest, stayed long enough to take in more S.Qld. events, now dodging the rain and heading back to Sydney..
love the diversity that we get at these mornings...thanks to all that braved the potential "rain event"..a few of us went around to Dave Winters home for a bench session..some pics below of Daves work in progress 32 Ford Tudor..(sorry about the pics, forgot to turn flash on )
neat starter, electrical connections, engine mounts..
plenty of steering room with the right angle mini oil filter
 custom cover for the trans..
neat design of the cylinder and lines..
nice tank cover, with clearance for the quick-change
attention to detail is consistent throughout the build..
sway bar tucked up out of the way..
Reminder for my next event, it's coming up this Thursday, 23rd June....going up to Lowood again..always a good drive and good food.
meet us there, or follow me, via Brisbane Valley Hwy, turn at Fernvale..nice easy drive.
I will be at the KFC at Redbank Plaza shopping centre at around 10 am....see you there!
