Tudor back, and off for lunch!

start this blog with a description for you, Kenny Mitchell...the dash has a stepped panel under it to hide the Vintage Air compact air-con unit, and also serves as the area to mount vents, the switches, and the two extra gauges
and you can see why...the smallest unit is still big to mount behind a deuce dash..so now you can decide, but if it was me, I wouldn't do air again, just have the cowl vent working, and a small fan and a small heater hidden up there...
all my wiring went crazy recently, so took the opportunity to have Kev Parkes re-route all the wiring from behind the dash, and mount it in the kick panel, where the fuel injection computer used to live...now I have easy access to fuses and relays...Kev found the problem with a wire shorting, where it came thru the firewall,.not insulated enough from the steel edge of the hole.. so extra care needed in the future builds....at least I now have headlights, wipers, horn, interior light, CD player, and indicators all working again!!
and found one of my annoying rattles, S.S. plate for the gauges had come loose...
So, today was my June mid week lunch run to the town of Lowood...not a bad rollup, considering the weather wasn't that good, however no rain until the trip home...Here's some of the cars...
 ..

Girls grabbed a table to themselves....didn't want to catch boy germs, or listen to more hot rod stories..lol
Les W grabbed my camera to catch me with the ultimate # in hot rodding...the one everyone loves....or hates......lol
multi-deuce owner Mal, with lots of secret mens business in the background..
30/31 owner Peter isn't too impressed that his lunch order was this #.....haha.
and so it was two...Les and I, the last to leave...a brief 20 minutes of rain is all we copped all day, so run # 22 didn't really qualify for "no rain", but almost!...next month, on July 21, we go to Yarrabillba,(Logan Village)  to the Green Frog Hollow nursery /cafe owned by Graham and Trish from Oz-Rods...come support a pair that put back lots into S.E. Qld hot rodding..
