So..10th day, on to Texas!!

Took our groupw east to take the loop down past New Orleans..
Like I told them."look out the window, as I aint stopin in New Orleans...too risky!"
so New Orleans, Baton Rogue, Layfette, and onto Lake Charles were we headed south..
heading thru the swamps and petro chemical companies to see the Gulf..
hoses need to be built high and strong in this Hurricane area of the Gulf of mexico
 quick paddle..

and on to Houston, to visit with the Burroughs Family at Bruces Rod Shop.

not much to say..just admire all the cars they have, and their workmanship..

gatteng ready to attach real Kinmont discs!

time to leave Houston and move on..
first, fill up at Buckys..over 100 pumps available!!

was getting hot towards San Antonio..
Alamo was stinking hot, but next morning, the river walk area was refreshingly cool..

Next stop..Luckenbach, quiet today, but it rages full of music on the weekends..

Texas Exports is near Fort Hood/Killeen/Belton...been there many times, but it looks like it's been picked over these days..not much to have as full cars..just parts..

plenty of doors and hoods for mid 50s-50s cars.

on thru to Hico, home of Billy The Kid..

Then, back in Granbury to catch up with our friend, Les Winter....while we were on the road, he picked up his new addition, this 34 coupe.

sad to also find out our good mate Charlie Duran passed away while we were travelling..sad R.I.P.
