A week in Texas is never enough time..

A week in Texas sure goes quick...we stayed at Charlies house as usual, and checked out his current inventory of hot rods...He has this 34 pickup for sale.
Old school look, has Model A rear fenders, so that needs changing..
Nice little Windsor and auto gets the job done
Interior is always cramped on these, if you're tall like me
This is a tidy little driving project , available for $17,500

Charlie has a nice deuce sedan he is working on, but needs to sel off his Vicky..$75000...I featured it once before.
Here's Les Ws pickup before it got the dropped axle and wheel upgrade ready for the trip to LA Roadster Show.
Saw this impressive rig parked at Whataburger

every lawman seems to paint on what he is....state trooper..sherriff, police, constable,
work in progress..should be an easy job to swap an axle......"said no hot rodder ever"
First hiccup...Superbell sent a narrow dropped axle...won't fit with the stock wishbones, so had to ordr another..at least the got the new one out in a couple of days..the delivery of these things is amazing, considering the distance, and volume of people in USA that order goods..hate to be the UPS dispatch co-ordinator....
We needed some stock 15" steelies, so went up to a local Fort Worth wreckers that usually has the older style vehicles...Here's the front yard facing Jacksboro Hwy.
Every car would be good down here in OZ....we'd save 'em, not crush them.
The Valiant kids would love this..
Gennie 54 with the first of the Y blocks..239 c.i.!

Wish we had a big container to send these all back home in!!
Two door spinner was $4000 ono
Here's the 58 Ford we took the wheels off...it was $750, as is..

Here's the contact details...tell 'em Greg sent you..lol.
Charlie has a no name set of knock offs for sale...817 992 8007
My drive into DFW each day..easy going until the rat race of 4 million people trying to use every road, while they build new roads everywhere...no shortage of Hwy $$$ here

One of the local shops in Fort Worth, Murrays Custom Rods.
Plenty of work in the shop

they even get involved with the salt..with one potent looking flathead..

Heaths own project is coming together nicely..

workmanship on this Lincoln was some of the best I have seen!

Cruising on the cobblestones of downtown Fort Worth..
2 hours later, I got over o GMG for a beer...Richard and his buddies were taking a break from filming....he has done well to establish his brand

I went back to the shop to watch them filming an episode...but had to stay out of camera view..damn..thought I would get to photo-bomb them...

More freeways going up....it's the same in Los Angeles...no recession for the road-builders..but with 320 million people, they have to keep the traffic flowing.

more weird stuff..a complete mower, all that weight, hangs off the Hayman Reece 2" towbar assembly......Qld Transport would lock us up and throw away the key!!
