Once again...as many back roads as possible...but still great roads and most 65mph.
Perfect timing to see this roll into town and around the corner...
lucky these country roads are wide!!
old gas stations everywhere..nice that they are somewhat restored..
Town halls were probably built when there were lots of people..now most of these towns are slowly dying off.....shame..
west Texas farms have lots of wind farms in their fields..
And..lots of oil under the farms as well....
the masses of oil pumps stopped at the border...now off to Roswell.
The aliens may have been here.......thinkI saw some in the main street...lol
now, there's an out of towner.....
Anita with her newest friends...
Lunch break at a tiny town that must have been a whole lot busier in the 50s/60s
At least they had a great chrome diner....the ONLY shop we could find open, other than a gas station...
We were heading north to check out Santa Fe, and to see some of the indian influence.
homes were different in this area..
our stop for the night before we went into the Monument Valley area in Utah
