YAMBA 2016...think this was my 22nd trip to it!

Now...you'll have to excuse the camera quality..using my old camera, then the new one...I think something has to change....the operator...sorry..quality of pics 'aint that good...anyway...I pull up in the street..stand back to take a pic...and all I see is water pouring out of a hole in the deuce radiator...off to the autoparts store for some Wynns stopleak....or some pepper...or an egg...

spread out this year, over 450 entrants..hot rods in the main street..late models off to the side street..
gotta add a pic of my sons hardtop...but seriously...as good a run as this always is...seems "rod-run" extends way up in years, and there needs to be a cutoff to bring the entrants back under 400...maybe 1969 and earlier will do it....
as usual, lots of new cars...Steve Coade got his steel 5w done in time...
Jeff Whalan had his stunning 3w finished only just before the run..
sky went from sun to wet all week, and the Saturday show was the same..
and..amazing how many cars were just palked up side streets, or left back at the park..

the licence plate says it all...
 Nice!
Debbie!...winner...Jonboy did a fantastic job on your 32..Buttermilk, was that what the colour is called?

my world travelling ace reporter left the SEMA show and Texas for his two month or so dose of down under rodding...Les keeps reminding me he has two steel deuce coupes...and a steel deuce sedan..and an A delivery...and this old road duster as well...that's great..you worked hard for it all, now enjoy the USA-AUS  back n forth travel...
Norm Snape debuted last Yamba, but ignition gremlins left it in the park last year...good to see it out n about...lots of lookers at this one...
take note of the photo=bomber...my son Chris made a point of walking into my shots....child!
