Back in OZ..get ready for stories of three weeks in Texas..

First stop...Heath Murrays shop to see how work on Les Ws 32 was going.....always lots of nice cars in this Fort Worth rod shop..

Almost done!..a new Limeworks column was installed, along with a few tidy up jobs so our road trip to Austin would be trouble free..

Nice and rare...Chevy delivery was looking good..
banger project getting ready for the Lone Star Roundup...this had to be going in just two more days for the Fri/Sat show in Austin.
workmanship on all cars is top shelf!
bit of intricate frame detail here...
never ceases to amaze me, the creativity of hot rodders...it's like an art form,
home-brew mini hot rod/custom was in the works for a customer..
and..powered by an early Indian motorbike engine.....
how low do you want to run your frame......on the limit here!!
like the look of the vibrant factory colour scheme on the chevy..
so...here we are...three good friends..we've known each other for 40+ years....so three weeks living in each others personal space won't be a problem......
first nite.....we realized we had forgotten the air mattress ...oh, well...just jump in with me..........check out the line of pillows down the centre......
a view of the backroads of Texas......livin' the dream..
425 Olds with dual quads, a Muncie 4 speed....old school rodding at its best..
Doug looks worried....maybe the cool diamond pleat hood lining is spooking him..
pic of a house, for no particular reason..
lots of old buildings..lots of character..

love the view....love the old towns..

stopped by Tom Weeks house to see his barn find 4 door.....very nice for the age..
and...it may be for sale if your interested...not sure of the price, but think it was a tad over $20,000....

no drivetrain in the old girl..just a rolling body
look at it....wood grain..high backs...semi elliptic rear...60s/70s rodding at its best
following pics are from the welcome BBQ put on by the Continentals/ club...we got there late...missed the food...but still plenty to see..

unusual intake..

well...that's it for now...gotta go on my mid week rod run I have organised...it leaves in an hour....so more on the blog later this week....
