week 2 in Texas..some pics from camera..some from the tablet..

 So...we left Austin and headed for famous Luckenbach, Tx...est.1849....here's Dougie polishing off some Funnel Cake and Cherry lemonade..
 The Wintermobile outside the post office/general store..
 here's the power...a dual quad 425 Olds with a Muncie 4 speed...get-r-done!
 Once again, Doug photo-bombing...had a night off at the Finishline Honky Tonk Dance club...some good ol Texas music..

 but parts have to go, so load some up for the swap meet..
 home brew salt racer/speedster they are finishing up..

 early F series made into uni-body, as well as giving it a chop n raked A and B pillars for a Crown Vicky sort of style..
 spare water jacket hemi lying around..
 and more race bits on the shelves..
 and rare injection unit..
 and rear ends..
 and wheels..and valve covers....they have the parts bins full!!
 over to dallas to visit George Owens...he now owns Les Ws old 34 pickup
 and he has a couple of cars for sale as well..
 this 48 was sorta stock, has a Muskrat front suspension...running, driving, $9000 from memory...or a bit extra for the multi carb setup that can go with it..
 This was straight...and stock..and priced reasonable..$12,000 from memory..

 so, skip ahead a day, and we are in Houston at Bruces Rod Shop
 showroom full of Deuces was a sight to see..
 CMG paint on the pickup was spot-on..
 nice work on a more door 32..

 had to check out the size...it seemed perfect for a 32 fender..
 aggressive..
 bodies awaiting their turn..

 came across so many early Ford bodies this trip...
 and in really good shape, most of them..
 look at this coupe....must have been a restored car to start off..
 the workmanship on this Mustang was some of the best I have seen..

 boss motor with billet injection thingies..
 cant remember why I took this...maybe it was the fact that the outer shell doesn't come in contact with the inner..
 lots more desireable wheels in the Burroughs collection
 and a rare 32 down on its luck...needs a rebirth.....one day!
