next installment from longhorn les..

So, some of you may know that on our last trip to Texas, les managed to purchase an all steel 32 five window, and this trip was also about picking it up, finding all the parets, and moving it away, as the property it was stored at is being sold...The pics tell the story..

as usual, our friend Timmy Cruze from Bubbas Tow in Fort Worth handled all the moving of the parts...
 Deal done...time to head off..
Then, it was off in the sedan on a road trip that would end up at the Bayou Roundup in Lafayette
check the mirrors....and no "pilot" vehicle like in Aust.
Stopped off at Randys to look at his collection......nice bunch of cars here....

just another Texan with about 10 hot rods!

down thru New Orleans, then back to the roundup..

more photos of the roundup will be posted tomorrow, in between my chores of fixin' the tudor ready for Yamba.
Don't know if you realised the dream here, but Les has a plan.....part of the plan is to get his all steel flattie powered 5 w here in Aust. finished, and start driving it...
But also, to finish the dream of doing more rod runs in the USA, hence, his all steel Olds powered sedan currently fits that job...
another dream sort of getting close, is to finish the rebuild of the A sedan delivery he has owned for over 40 years....
but the current 'glass sedan is the current driver....but...twist his arm, and lots of $$$$ up around $66,000, and this one could be yours!!
The old race-car kick hasn't quite gone yet, so the old Top Doorslammer sits patiently waiting for that much neede Lotto win to see it burn rubber again.....but once again...a bunch of $$$$ could see it change hands..
and last...to make the dream become a reality...the business has to go...this modern "Winters Smash Repairs" shop in Brisbanes Sumner Park is ideally placed in the western suburbs corridor, and was fully updated and refurbished in 2010...and is bargain priced for a fully established shop with plenty of work and scope for expansion.....if you need to find out more, just Ph Les at work on 07 3279-1064...he is itching to get going back to USA, so a deal might be in the pipeline...
