We lost a good man today, R.I.P., Wally Rudken

Sad day, our friend, Wally Rudken passed away after battling some health issues..here's Wally in his Deuces Limited cap, swapping stories with Ronnie, Mick, and Dave., He loved coming to the coffee mornings and chatting with mates...
Wally, and good friend, Dave Fairbrother came onto the hot rod scene in the mid 1970s, Wal joined Rods Incorporated in July 1976, and with wife Barbara, went to most of the runs and events that were organised. With skills in pattern making, and Draughmanship, Wally got involved right from the start of the Queensland T.A.C., by drawing up plans, as well as using his knowledge of mechanical safety, to ensure the new street rod guidelines ,to be submitted to Queensland transport were to the benefit of all hot-rodders. His work helped us get where we are today.

Wally and Barbara also devoted time, not only to Rods Inc., but also to the Queensland Hot Rod Promotions, by being the Secretary of the committee, and Barbara assisting him.
After a many year break from rodding, Wal was back with this really neat deuce roadster..he joined the new "Deuces Limited" club, and started racking up the miles going to as many events as he could fit in...his workmanship showed through the entire build, and "TOP 032" was a fitting plate for this home built, owner painted, jet black 32hiboy.
The Captain, Dave Fairbrother on the left, here with Wally on the right..., down at one of the regular coffee mornings.....best friends for 40+ years..they went everywhere in their cars,..lots of good times together..
..Our condolences are extended to Barbara, all his extended family, and his close friends,

Ever the gentleman, he will be missed by his family, and friends from hot rodding..RIP Wally.
